Abstract
A motor controlled switching valve V for pressurised liquid fluid, particularly for a yarn selector of a water jet weaving machine, comprises a housing defining an interior fluid chamber 3, inlet and outlet channels P1, 15, 19, a valve actuating shaft S coupled with an electric motor M, at least one stationary first valve part A1 in the chamber 3, the first valve part A1 comprising a first sealing surface 13 with outlet ports P2, P3 communicating with the outlet channels 15, 19, and a second valve part A2 mounted an the valve actuating shaft S for rotational movements about the axis X of the shaft between predetermined switching positions in relation to the stationary first valve part, the second valve part A2 comprising a second sealing surface 14 for closing at least one outlet port in a respective switching Position. The first and second sealing surfaces 13, 14 are planar and oriented in parallel and perpendicular to the axis X of the valve actuating shaft S, the second sealing surface has a size and shape just slightly larger than the size and shape of each outlet Port P2, P3, and the second sealing surface 14 is loaded by the fluid Pressure in the chamber 3 into sealing contact with the first sealing surface 13.
