Abstract

The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for recovering heat taken up in a cooled area in a building. According to one aspect of the invention, a system for recovering heat in a building is provided, where the building comprises a first cool space, arranged to be kept cooled, and at least one second area. The system comprises a cooling means arranged to provide cooling of a cooling agent, where the cooling agent is supplied to a cooling element arranged in said first space via lines, the cooling agent having a first temperature Ttill to said cooling element and a second, higher temperature Tfrke from said cooling element. That is to say the cooling agent takes up heat in the cool space in order to keep it cooled. A ventilation unit is arranged to ventilate said second area and comprises a fresh air intake and at least one cooling battery which during normal use is arranged to cool incoming air to said area. The cooling battery comprises a connection to said lines for transport of cooling agent, and a control means is arranged to allow said cooling agent to reach said cooling battery if the air temperature T1 of air entering said ventilation unit, via interaction in said cooling battery, lowers the temperature of said cooling agent.
