Abstract

The shell includes a propellent charge (13) for actuating a pressure plate (3) used to fire an active part (4) of the shell out of the barrel. The propellent charge is located inside a sleeve (1) containing a detonator cap (5) in the bottom. The sleeve is releasably connected to the pressure plate via a connecting tube (8) which contains an initial charge (17) and is connected to the detonator cap. The initial charge is used to disconnect a fastener (11) between the active part and pressure plate.
