Abstract

The impulse valve comprises a spindle (31) mounted inside a cylinder (32) and valve components for regulating the flow of compressed air into a main valve in the tool (1). The main valve is used to active a drive device (5) for ejecting a fastener (2). The impulse valve has a gasket seal (47) on the spindle which acts as a lubricant for the backward and forward movement of the spindle. The impulse valve defines a seal between the spindle and cylinder and includes two seals for a channel used to activate the tool. An Independent claim is also included for a main valve for a pneumatic tool, comprising a main sleeve (18) which can be moved between two end positions inside the tool and used to supply air for activating a piston (12) which in turn activates a drive device for ejecting a fastener, in addition to gasket seals for acting as a lubricant for the backward and forward movement of the sleeve.
