Abstract

The attachment comprises a disc (1) made from elastic material which has an elongated ridge (7) on its bottom side (6). The ridge acts as a blade by digging into the snow. Next to the ridge is a convex region (9) of the disc which is depressed in the downwards direction and this region can be moved between a curved position when not subjected to a load and a pressed-in deformed position when the horse stands on the ground. When the horse lifts its leg up again, the convex region springs back into to its curved position, causing any snow on the disc to be removed.
