Abstract

The decontamination device comprises a sluice cubicle (1) which e.g. personnel enter via a sealable opening (7), so that the contaminating material is left behind in the sluice. The device is assembled from different modules (3) such as walls (4), floors, windows (6), sealable openings and roofs (8), which are made from cheap disposible material such as thin chipboard, card, paper, cardboard, plastic, textile, rubber or metal. The modules are contained within a packaging (10) for transport to the site where decontamination work is being carried out, where the device is erected in situ. The device ais later destroyed, along with the contaminating material inside it. An Independent claim is also included for a decontamination method using this device.
