Abstract

An overload slipping clutch comprises a first coupling part (2) that is surrounded by a further coupling part (5) to form at least one annular pressure chamber (3) containing highly pressurized hydraulic fluid that is connected to an interrupt valve (4). A pressure measurement arrangement (7, 8, 10, 11) is provided for determining the pressure difference between the rotation bearings of the two couplings and the difference value is compared in a controller (9) to a reference value that opens the interrupt valve accordingly.
