Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of establishing a connection in accordance with Bluetooth technology, comprising an inquiry and a paging procedure between a master unit and a slave unit, each of which includes a Bluetooth module.The invention is characterised by the steps of causing a first transceiver (4) connected to said master unit (1) to send an inquiry signal to a second transceiver unit (6) connected to the slave unit (2), causing the second transceiver (6) to send to the first transceiver (4), upon receipt of said signal, information that includes a relevant frequency hop synchronisation plan FHS for the slave unit (2), causing the said FHS-information to be sent from the first transceiver unit (4) to the Bluetooth module (3) of the master unit (1), and using this information when setting up said connection between the Bluetooth module (3) of the master unit (1) and the Bluetooth module (5) of the slave unit (2).
