Abstract
<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve degrees of freedom in cylinder arrangement of a Stirling engine. <P>SOLUTION: In the Stirling engine having multiple cylinders 10, each cylinder is provided with a shroud 14 enclosing a combustion chamber 18. A one body unit is formed with each shroud and a cylinder head 16 of a cylinder corresponding to the shroud and is attached on a cylinder. A heat exchanger 19 is arranged in a combustion chamber.
