Abstract
The method comprises the following steps : (A) the reconstruction image obtained from the x-ray sheets is rotated into a first reference position where the reference object (202) is in a known basis position relative to the display screen (200) ; (B) the value for at least one position parameter for the reconstruction image relative to the display screen in the first reference position is recorded ; (C) the reconstruction image is rotated into a second reference position where the target object (204) is in a known basis position relative to the display screen ; and (D) the value for the position parameter in the second reference position relative to the position parameter obtained in step (B) is recorded in order to determine the orientation of the target object inside the body. An Independent claim is also included for the apparatus used to carry out this positioning method.
