Abstract

A mounting ring has a cross-section defined by a first radial flange providing cavities and support surfaces in the ring periphery, and by a second axial flange. A mounting ring for engaging with a flange (6) in a vibration unit (1) in an ultrasonic welding device has a cross-section defined by two flanges. The first flange extends substantially in a radial direction between an inner edge and an outer edge, and is provided with cavities and support surfaces around the ring periphery. The second flange extends substantially in an axial direction between a front edge and a rear edge. An Independent claim is also included for an ultrasonic welding device comprising a vibration unit with a peripheral mounting flange, a casing with an inner peripheral groove for receiving the flange on the vibration unit, and at least one of the above mounting rings located between the flange and at least one groove wall.
