Abstract

The technique for fitting a hearing aid to a patient comprises transmission of a calibration signal of constant strength and frequency, for subsequent individualized amplification of the apparatus in selected frequency bands. Noise is transmitted via four loudspeakers (8-11) located symmetrically around the patient, with loudspeaker (12) transmitting the ca. 6000 Hz calibration signal. EMBODIMENT - The selected frequency bands are ca. 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 and 6000 Hz.
