Abstract

A lever is placed with its support end (2) in contact with the horses back and a catch (5) can be slid along the lever between its support and handle ends (2, 3). The strap is secured to the catch when it is in a first end position (1a) distant from the support end of the lever, and when the catch is in a second end position (1b) the strap can be pulled through by pivoting the lever.
