Abstract

Intensity of measuring signal from sensor element (6) is detected in measuring and control unit. The measuring signal is partially reflected at a point along the optical connection (3). Reflection point is located at predetermined distance from the sensor element. The parameter is measured based on intensity of partially reflected signal and intensity of measuring signal. An Independent claim is also included for optical measuring device.
