Abstract

The mower comprises an elongate frame 3 with first and second ends, a wheel 2 at each end of frame 3, a draw bar 1, adapted to be connected with a tractor and which is hinged to the first end of frame 3. A row of cutter discs 7 is provided along frame 3, a conditioning and throwing device 8 behind cutter discs 7, a cover shield 25 above the throw path of the conditioned material, pivotable side shields 9 for sideways restriction of the throw path, and additional, vertical baffle plates (30, Figure 3) extending in the throw path under shield 25. Side shield 9 at the first end is adapted to take a position, in which it points obliquely backwards and away from the track of the mower, and wheel 2 at the first end is placed outside the track of cutter discs 7, when the mower is in an operating position, in which frame 3 is perpendicular to the travelling direction. The wheel 2 at the first end may be adjustable to lie within the cutter disc track.
