Abstract

The method involves determining the transfer function of the radio channel from received reference signals at the time of reception and at the frequency with which a reference signal is transmitted. Coefficients of a digital filter are derived from the speed of the receiver, the transfer function and the selected carrier frequency. The transfer function of the radio channel for the time of reception and the frequency of the useful data signal is determined using the digital filter and used to correct distortion of the useful signal. An Independent claim is also included for a receiver for receiving digital radio signals over radio channels.
