Abstract

The winding device has an inner side wall (4) formed by a tube, arranged concentrically and at right angles to the base plate. A cover in the form of a circular ring has its periphery connected to the upper edge of the outer side wall (2). The cover extends into the centre, leaving an open gap between the inner edge of the cover (11) and the inner side wall. The cover contains at least two slots (5) extending from the inner edge of the cover towards the cover periphery, at an angle relative to a radial axis extending through the slot mouth on the inner side. The winding device is particularly suitable for connecting fibe optic cable to splice points or the end points of such a cable, and comprises a base plate with a perpendicular outer side wall whose bottom edge (9) is connected to the base plate periphery (10).
