Abstract

The process uses a spreader to place adhesive-coated material on a continuously moving spreader belt (4). For the fabrication of multi-laminate mats (5) from long chips, spreading is carried out in a transverse or longitudinal orientation. The width of the separating joints (10) defined by the dividing walls (11) on the belt, is adjustable dependent upon type of timber and height of spread. The dividing walls can be adjusted/removed in a continuous process.
