Abstract

An absorbent article (1) according to the present invention comprises an absorbent body (AB) and a pair of side flaps (SF1, SF2) that extend outwards from both sides of the absorbent body in the width direction, the side flaps including a nonwoven fabric (7a) and an elastomer member (12) laminated to the nonwoven fabric. This method for producing said absorbent article comprises: a forming step in which a laminate is formed by partially bonding, so as to enable stretching, a material nonwoven fabric for nonwoven fabric which has been subjected in advance to a first gear stretching process, to the elastomer member; and a stretching step in which the laminate is subjected to a second gear stretching process, the direction in which the material nonwoven fabric is stretched in the second gear stretching process being the same stretching direction within a predetermined range of angles of the direction in which the material nonwoven fabric is stretched in the first gear stretching process.
