A method for diagnosing the degree of psycho-physiological maladaptation in patients with initial forms of chronic cerebrovascular pathology, based on recording the brain’s biopotentials at rest, followed by a quantitative analysis of the frequency-amplitude characteristics of the electroencephalogram, in particular in the alpha activity range, characterized in that the spectral power is additionally evaluated alpha activity and in the presence of at least one of the following criteria, namely, the absolute power of alpha activity is less than 10 uV 2 ; or values of the absolute power of alpha activity of more than 80 μV 2 ; and / or relative power of alpha activity of more than 50%, a significant degree of psycho-physiological maladaptation is diagnosed.
