Способ сушки древесины в сушильной камере, в которой сушильный агент, предпочтительно воздух, вынуждают циркулировать через штабель (10) древесины, расположенный в сушильной камере (1) в течение процесса сушки, отличающийся тем, что для достижения, по существу, постоянного показателя сушки древесины, после начальной стадии нагрева древесины (стадии I) выполняют стадию определения начальных условий (стадию II), во время которой определяют статус влаги древесины штабеля путем измерения падения (ΔT) температуры по сухому термометру сушильного агента, возникающего в результате его прохождения через штабель, а при последующих стадиях сушки падение (ΔT) температуры сушильного агента измеряют после его прохождения через штабель (10) древесины, при этом полученную таким образом информацию о падении температуры сравнивают с падением (ΔT) температуры сушильного агента в течение стадии определения начальных условий (стадии II) для контроля или регулирования состояния циркулирующего сушильного агента таким образом, чтобы удержать падение (ΔT) температуры в течение последующих стадий сушки, по существу, равным падению температуры на начальной стадии.1.
