1. A method for experimentally determining the subcriticality of a stopped nuclear reactor, including moving in the active zone of neutron-absorbing rods or other local sources of disturbance, determining from the signals of the sensors the response of the neutron field to this movement and estimating the unknown quantity, characterized in that the disturbance sources are moved sequentially in of preselected quasi-autonomous regions of the core partition, the neutron field response in each of these regions is described by the physical a functionally adequate function, the parameters of which are determined from the approximation conditions for the dependence of the experimentally obtained values of the relative changes in the sensor signals on the distance to the disturbance source, according to the values of the response function parameters and the relations connecting them with the material parameter of the reactor medium and the neutron multiplication coefficient, for each of the regions the subdivisions find the value of local subcriticality, the assessment of the subcriticality of the reactor as a whole is carried out over the region with the minimum value cheniem local subcriticality. 2. 2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the number of areas of partitioning the active zone is selected based on the need for their partial mutual overlap not less than the value of the quotient of dividing the square of the radius of the active zone by the square of the distance corresponding to a ten-fold decrease in the neutron field response function by the impact of a local disturbance source in the reactor with the minimum permissible subcriticality.
