Abstract
FIELD: microbiological industry, biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: strain Alcaligenes species ВКПМ B-6706 shows high nitrilase activity that is 915, 134.7 and 58.5 mM/g x hr for acrylonitrile, propionitrile and butyronitrile, respectively. Strain shows activity at the range of pH = 4-9.5, optimal value pH = 8.0. Temperature range of nitrilase activity in cells of strain Alcaligenes sp. Iв-3 ВКПМ B-6706 is 2-65 C, maximal cell activity for acrylonitrile - at 50 C. Strain does not depend on toxic nitriles in cultivation medium. Strain Alcaligenes species ВКПМ B-6706 can be used in biotechnological process of preparing acrylic and other carboxylic acids. Strain is isolated from soil of acrylonitrile production. EFFECT: preparing strain indicated above, high nitrilase activity. 3 tbl
