Abstract

FIELD: microbiological industry, biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: strain Alcaligenes species ВКПМ B-6706 shows high nitrilase activity that is 915, 134.7 and 58.5 mM/g x hr for acrylonitrile, propionitrile and butyronitrile, respectively. Strain shows activity at the range of pH = 4-9.5, optimal value pH = 8.0. Temperature range of nitrilase activity in cells of strain Alcaligenes sp. Iв-3 ВКПМ B-6706 is 2-65 C, maximal cell activity for acrylonitrile - at 50 C. Strain does not depend on toxic nitriles in cultivation medium. Strain Alcaligenes species ВКПМ B-6706 can be used in biotechnological process of preparing acrylic and other carboxylic acids. Strain is isolated from soil of acrylonitrile production. EFFECT: preparing strain indicated above, high nitrilase activity. 3 tbl

Claims (1)

The essence of the invention: obtaining a new strain of bacteria - a producer of the nitrilase enzyme isolated from the soil of the production of acrylonitrile by the method of cumulative culture using acetonitrile as a selection agent. According to the combination of morphological, cultural, biochemical characters, the strain is assigned to the genus Alcaligenes. The strain Alcaligenes species VKPM B-6706 has a high nitrilase activity, reaching 915 mM / g • h in relation to acrylonitrile, 134.7 mM / g • h in relation to propionitrile and 58.5 mM / g • h in relation to butyronitrile. The strain exhibits enzymatic activity in the range of pH 4 - 9.5, the optimum pH value of 8.0. The temperature range for the manifestation of nitrilase activity by cells of the strain Alcaligenes sp. 1c-3 VKPM B-6706 is 2 - 65 ° C, the maximum activity of cells against acrylonitrile appears at 50 o C. The strain does not require the introduction of toxic nitriles into the culture medium. The strain Alcaligenes species VKPM B-6706 can be used in the biotechnological process of producing acrylic and other carboxylic acids.
