Abstract

FIELD: amperometric measurements. SUBSTANCE: amperometric indicator of concentration of free residual chlorine in drinkable water has a measuring unit and a hydraulic unit, having an input amplifier with a temperature compensator, potentiostat maintaining the level of the potential of reduction of free chlorine at the cathode, flow-through amperometric cell and a hydraulic system maintaining a constant flow rate of the flow of water to be analyzed in it, the cell has a cathode-electrode of noble metal, comparison electrode-ionselective membrane electrode and anode; the anode is made in the form of the casing of the flow-through amperometric cell of stainless steel with water inlet and outlet unions, which are shifted relative to the vertical axis of the anode connected to one output of the potentiostat, whose other output is connected to the comparison electrode. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy. 1 cl, 2 dwg

Claims (1)

The invention relates to the field of measurements, namely to measuring the concentration of free residual chlorine in drinking water. The device contains a measuring unit and a hydraulic unit, including an input amplifier with a temperature compensator, a potentiostat that supports the level of free chlorine recovery potential at the cathode, a flow amperometric cell and a hydraulic system that maintains a constant flow rate of the analyzed water in it, the cell holds a cathode — an electrode made of precious metal, reference electrode - an ion-selective membrane electrode and an anode, while the anode is made in the form of a housing of a flow amperometric cell made of stainless steel heating steel with water inlet and outlet fittings, which are installed with an offset relative to the vertical axis of the anode, connected by an electric circuit to one output of the potentiostat, the other output of which is connected to the reference electrode.
