Кристаллизатор для слябовой установки непрерывной разливки стали, имеющий защитную наплавку в виде участков износостойкого материала в нижней части рабочих стенок, обеспечивающих повышенную стойкость против абразивного износа. Наплавка производится ручной сваркой. Присутствие наплавки не препятствует механической обработке кристаллизатора.
