Abstract

FIELD: chemistry of polymers, more particularly film forming agents in paint industry, treatment of leathers, textile, paper and wood, and manufacture of adhesive compositions for various purposes. SUBSTANCE: claimed process is carried out by water emulsion polymerization of preemulsified (meth)acrylic monomers or mixtures thereof with vinyl monomers in the presence of radical polymerization initiator. Emulsion contains monomers to water phases of 1:0.1-0.7 at preemulsifying stage, and emulsifier is anionic compound of general structure 1: R-O(CHCHO)-XOMe wherein X is S and P; Me is Na, K, NH; R is alkyl and n is 1- 13; R is alkylphenol or dialkylphenol and n is 6-30 or mixture thereof with non-ionic compound of general formula II: R-O(CHCHO)H wherein R is alkylphenol or dialkylphenol and n is 6-100. The resulting dispersions of (Co)polymers contain 0.005-0.01% residual monomers. This makes it possible to handle safely dispersions and compositions based thereof. Besides, dispersions are resistant to mechanical effects and to effects of electrolytes. EFFECT: reduced content of residual monomers in aqueous dispersions of (Co)polymers and higher stability of dispersions.

Claims (1)

Изобретение относится к химии полимеров, а именно к способу получения водных дисперсий (мет)акриловых или (мет)акрилатно-виниловых полимеров, которые находят широкое применение в различных отраслях промышленности, например, в качестве пленкообразователей в лакокрасочной промышленности, для обработки кож, текстиля, бумаги, древесины, для изготовления клеевых композиций различного назначения и т.д. Способ осуществляют путем водоэмульсионной полимеризации предварительно эмульгированных (мет)акриловых мономеров или их смесей с виниловыми мономерами в присутствии инициатора радикальной полимеризации. Техническим результатом изобретения является уменьшение содержания остаточных мономеров в водных дисперсиях (со)полимеров и повышение стабильности дисперсий. Сущность изобретения: на стадии предварительного эмульгирования готовят эмульсию с соотношением фаз мономеры вода, 1: 0,1 - 0,7 и в качестве эмульгатора используют анионогенное соединение общей формулы R-O(CH2CH2O)n-XO3Me, где Х - S, Р, Ме - Nа, К. NH4 при R - алкил n = 1 - 13, при R - алкилфенол, диалкилфенол n = 6 - 30, или его смесь с неоногенным соединением общей формулы R-O(CH2CH2O)nH, где R - алкилфенол, диалкилфенол, n = 6 - 100. Полученные дисперсии (со)полимеров содержат 0,005 - 0,01% остаточных мономеров, что обеспечивает безопасность работы с дисперсиями и композициями на их основе. Кроме того, дисперсии устойчивы к механическим воздействиям и к действию электролитов, что обеспечивает стабильность дисперсий в процессе их хранения, транспортировки и практического применения.The invention relates to the chemistry of polymers, and in particular to a method for producing aqueous dispersions of (meth) acrylic or (meth) acrylate-vinyl polymers, which are widely used in various industries, for example, as film formers in the paint and varnish industry, for processing leather, textiles, paper, wood, for the manufacture of adhesive compositions for various purposes, etc. The method is carried out by water-emulsion polymerization of pre-emulsified (meth) acrylic monomers or mixtures thereof with vinyl monomers in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator. The technical result of the invention is to reduce the content of residual monomers in aqueous dispersions of (co) polymers and increase the stability of the dispersions. The essence of the invention: at the stage of preliminary emulsification, an emulsion is prepared with a phase ratio of water monomers of 1: 0.1 - 0.7, and an anionic compound of the general formula RO (CH 2 CH 2 O) n -XO 3 Me, where X is S, P, Me - Na, K. NH 4 for R - alkyl n = 1 - 13, for R - alkyl phenol, dialkyl phenol n = 6 - 30, or a mixture thereof with a neonogenic compound of the general formula RO (CH 2 CH 2 O) n H, where R is alkyl phenol, dialkyl phenol, n = 6 - 100. The resulting dispersions of (co) polymers contain 0.005 - 0.01% residual monomers, which ensures the safety of working with dispersions and compositions on and x basis. In addition, dispersions are resistant to mechanical stress and to the action of electrolytes, which ensures the stability of dispersions during their storage, transportation and practical use.
