Abstract

FIELD: medicine, pulmonology. SUBSTANCE: method is based on determination of total antiproteolytic activity in samples of patient broncho-alveolar lavage. Treatment is evaluated as effective at values 12 mcg/mg protein or above on 10-th day of treatment and 18 mcg/mg protein on 21-st day of treatment. At value below the indicated levels treatment is considered to be as noneffective. Invention ensures to prevent conversion of catarrhal chronic bronchitis to suppurative form and further complications. EFFECT: improved method of evaluation.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to medicine, in particular to pulmonology, and can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment of chronic catarrhal bronchitis and timely correction of treatment tactics. The invention allows to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment in terms of the total antiproteolytic activity of bronchoalveolar rinse. At values equal to or higher than 12 μg / mg protein on the 10th day of treatment and 18 μg / mg protein on the 21st day of treatment, the treatment is evaluated as effective, and at values below the indicated levels as ineffective. The invention allows to prevent the transition of the catarrhal form of chronic bronchitis into a purulent form, with the subsequent development of bronchiectasis and pulmonary suppuration.
