Abstract

FIELD: mechanical engineering; manufacture of wings; main rotors and compressor and turbine blades for reduction of resistance of streamlined surfaces. SUBSTANCE: lifting surface has vortex generators made in form of fences located across the incoming flow and partitions mounted in vortex generators over entire length of fence in parallel relative to each other in way of flow; in the bottom portion of vortex generators there are through slotted holes brought out to streamlined surface. When lifting surface is washed with liquid or gas, area of reduced pressure with bound vortex is created in bottom portion of vortex generator. Due to bottom rarefaction, part of flow passes from boundary layer on streamlined surface to vortex generator through slotted holes preventing flow from being separated and enters the flow on lifting surface in directed jet. Innovation of invention consists in control of boundary layer on streamlined surface through slotted holes making use of local areas at reduced pressure on streamlined surface. EFFECT: reduced resistance due to control of boundary layer on streamlined surface.

The invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used to reduce the resistance of bearing surfaces streamlined by a liquid or gas, for example, as an aircraft wing, rotors, compressor blades and turbines, etc. The aim of the invention is to reduce resistance by controlling the boundary layer on a streamlined surface. This is achieved by the fact that on the bearing surface having vortex generators in the form of ridges located across the incoming flow and partitions installed in the vortex generators at the entire height of the ridge parallel to one another in the direction of flow, there are through slotted holes in the bottom of the vortex generator overlooking the streamlined surface . When a flow of liquid or gas flows around the bearing surface in the bottom of the vortex generator, a region of reduced pressure is created with the vortex attached. Due to bottom rarefaction, part of the flow from the boundary layer on the streamlined surface flows through slotted holes into the vortex generator, preventing flow separation, and enters the flow on the supporting surface with a directed stream. New in the invention is the ability to control the boundary layer on a streamlined surface through slotted holes, while using local areas with reduced pressure on the bearing surface.
