Abstract

FIELD: inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: mercury-containing articles were broken and treated under layer of an aqueous solution of calcium polysulfides at sulfur content 50-90 g/l at 20-45 C followed by waste washing off with calcium polysulfide solution at sulfur content 20-40 g/l at the room temperature and waste sorting. Method can be used for utilization of articles containing mercury or its vapors. Method provides the closed technological treatment cycle. EFFECT: improved method of treatment and ecology.
