Abstract

FIELD: demulsification of watered mineral oils. SUBSTANCE: to enhance efficiency in separating stable finely dispersed emulsions in a wide range of process conditions, invention provides an apparatus made in the form of coalescencing section packet distinguishing in that the sections are composed with hydrophobic and lyophilic plates of porous-cellular materials arranged in layers according to increasing density of pores and cells from section to section and at an angle being not lower than angle of flowing down liquid in the direction to moving stream. Material of first sections is porous-cellular metal or alloy, and that of last sections is porous-cellular elastic polymer material. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to a device for the separation of stable finely dispersed waterlogged emulsions of petroleum products, liquid and gaseous, in the oil refining, petrochemical, gas processing and other industries. To increase the efficiency of separation of emulsions and the depth of dehydration of the hydrocarbon phase in a wide range of technological loads, the device is made in the form of a coalescing sectional package. According to the invention, the sections are composed of hydrophobic and leophilic plates of porous-cellular materials laid in layers in order of increasing density of pores and cells from section to section and at an angle not lower than the angle of flow of liquid in the direction of the moving stream, and the material of the first sections is porous-cellular metal or alloy, and the last section is a porous-cellular elastic polymer material.
