Abstract

FIELD: wind power engineering. SUBSTANCE: to avoid acceleration of rotors (windwheels) to dangerous rotational speed, device is provided with braking plates 1 having tail pieces 2 articulated on rim 3 of rotor 4 and pressed to rim 3 by means of springs 5. Tail-pieces 2 of adjacent plates are double-arm levers articulated together by means of rods 6. Arms of levers of tail-pieces 2 and rods 6 form parallel link mechanism for each adjacent pair of plates which ensures simultaneous turn of all plates. Device operates as aerodynamic brake with centrifugal governor. EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
