Изопропилбензол находит применение как исходное сырье для производства фенола, альфа-метилстирола и др. продуктов, для получения гербицидов, эпоксидных смол, фенолформальдегидных полимеров, полиамидных волокон. Для повышения чистоты продукта предложено использовать отходы алюминиевой промышленности и процесс проводить при 45 - 55oС. Способ позволяет пользоваться катализатором без предварительной обработки, проводить реакцию без охлаждения при одновременном смешивании исходных веществ, получая продукт высокой чистоты.The invention relates to organic chemistry, specifically to a method for producing isopropylbenzene.
