Abstract
FIELD: microwave technique; heating (evaporating, drying, pasteurizing, sterilizing) water-containing materials. SUBSTANCE: chamber may be used as terminal load of microwave oscillator with continuous power of up to 75 kW. Absorption chamber, 3,7 λin length, has waveguide with nine coupling holes and tank for absorbing material, 2,9 λin length, where λis wavelength in waveguide; coupling holes are made in wide wall of waveguide; size and relative arrangement of coupling holes and waveguide ensure uniform heating of material being treated and matching with microwave oscillator; voltage standing wave ratio of absorption chamber is not over 1.3 at considerable variations in parameters ε and tgδ of material being treated. EFFECT: provision for matching absorption chamber and microwave oscillator at great variations in absorbing material parameters and uniform heating of the latter.
