Abstract

FIELD: electric-arc heating; plasma devices for coating surfaces by plasma spraying in metallurgy and other industries. SUBSTANCE: plasmatron has cathode and anode units, insulator, swirl chamber, powder supply chamber with distribution ring that has holes or slits to pass powder to arc channel. Powder supply chamber is provided with piston in the form of axisymmetrical body placed between inner surface of powder supply chamber body and outer surface of distribution ring so that center line of piston is parallel to plasmatron axis; it also has tangential-feed additional gas pipe mounted upstream of powder supply pipe. Piston may be made in the form of cylinder with spherical top and bottom or in the form of ellipsoid of revolution or ball. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities due to extended range of mass discharge variation of powder fed to arc channel.

Изобретение относится к технике электродугового нагрева и может быть использовано в плазменных устройствах, применяемых при нанесении покрытий плазменным распылением, в металлургии и других областях техники. Поставленная задача : расширение функциональных возможностей электродугового плазмотрона для нагрева порошка, содержащего катодный и анодные блоки, изолятор, вихревую камеру, камеру подачи порошка с распределительным кольцом, имеющим отверстия или прорези для подачи порошка в дуговой канал, за счет расширения диапазона изменения массового расхода порошка, подаваемого в дуговой канал плазмотрона. Технический результат достигается тем, что камера подачи порошка снабжена поршнем, выполненным в виде осесимметричного тела и расположенного между внутренней поверхностью корпуса камеры подачи порошка и внешней поверхностью распределительного кольца таким образом, что ось симметрии поршня параллельна оси плазмотрона, и патрубком тангенциальной подачи дополнительного газа, расположенным перед патрубком подачи порошка, при этом поршень может быть выполнен в виде цилиндра со сферическими верхним и нижним основаниями, или в виде эллипсоида вращения, или в виде шара.The invention relates to techniques for electric arc heating and can be used in plasma devices used in plasma spray coating, in metallurgy and other fields of technology.
