Abstract
FIELD: electromechanical engineering; manufacturing of contactless synchronous generators. SUBSTANCE: machine has an armature winding and an excitation winding of an exciter. Both windings are placed on a stator. An excitation winding placed on a rotor is made at least from two electrically connected independent windings. Each of the independent windings has at least two parts connected to each other trough switching devices, such as diodes, allowing either series or parallel connection of these parts. Like terminals of the winding parts which are not connected with unlike terminals of the other winding parts are electrically connected to each other through a switching device. EFFECT: reduced loss in rotor and higher reliability of the machine because of possibility to use the entire excitation winding at any moment of rotation of rotor. 9 dwg
