Abstract

FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: test light stimulus is formed and shown to tested person in form of spatially light-nonuniform field. As standard light stimulus, the monochromatic field is shown, which substitutes pat of field of test light stimulus. Light stimuli are equalized by changing their mutual disposition till bringing standard light stimulus into contact with that part of field of test light stimulus where equality of chromaticity of stimuli is achieved from point of view of tested person. Co-ordinates of mutual disposition of stimuli are registered from which co-ordinates the quality of color vision is judged. To improve precision and to get more rapid determination of type of deviation of color vision, and to reduce time of measurement, several standard light stimuli with different chromaticity can shown to tested person. Method may be used for studying degradation or change in color vision during professional work and/or living. EFFECT: improved precision.

Claims (1)

The method relates to medicine, more precisely to ophthalmology, and is intended for accurate and objective assessment of the quality of color vision in operators using color analysis of various objects in their professional activities, as well as for studying the degradation or change of color vision in the process of professional work and / or life . The invention is aimed at simplifying the measurement process, improving the accuracy and reliability of color vision quality control, providing the ability to detect small and minor deviations in color vision and reducing measurement time. This is achieved by the fact that a test color stimulus is formed and presented to the test subject in the form of a spatially inhomogeneous color field, a single color field is presented as a reference color stimulus, replacing part of the field of the test color stimulus. The color stimuli are equalized by changing their mutual arrangement until the reference color stimulus is combined with that part of the test color stimulus field where equality is achieved, according to the testee’s representation, the color equality of the stimuli, the coordinates of the relative position of the stimuli are recorded, which are used to judge the quality of color vision. In order to increase accuracy, more quickly determine the type of deviation of color vision and accelerate the measurement time, the subject is simultaneously presented with several reference color stimuli with different colors.
