Abstract

FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: fiber optic endoscopic explorer has a regular bundle, a mandrel, a casing, and a lens. The input part of the explorer is a truncated cone focon of fibers varying in diameter. The diameter increases closer to the input end. The cone apex angle 2•θ prevents destruction due to overheating of fibers owing to diffusion of light energy by the explorer side surface. EFFECT: enhanced operating capacity.

Claims (1)

The invention can be used in medicine, in particular as an endoscopic instrumentation. This invention is intended for organizing the input of high-power optical radiation of complex mode composition into an optical bundle and delivering radiation to an object without changing the mode picture. This problem is solved in that the fiber-optic endoscopic probe, consisting of a regular bundle, mandrel, shell and lens, is characterized in that the input part is made in the form of a focone of fibers of variable diameter increasing towards the input end face, executed in a regular manner, in particular having the shape of a truncated cone, the angle at the apex of the cone is chosen for reasons of preventing damage caused by overheating of the fibers due to the scattering of light energy by the side surface of the probe.
