Abstract

FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to graduation of measurement devices determining flow of gas or liquid with the aid of ultrasound. Device is portable, mobile one which operation does not depend on presence of external vibrations and changes of ambient temperature. It is attended and moved by one specialist in the field. In compliance with formula of invention electroacoustic converters of flowmeter to be graduated are attached to unit manufactured from hard sound-conducting material providing for stable acoustic contact between these converters. Such unit may be manufactured in the form of prism from acrylic plastic. Proposed design of unit ensures high stability of time of propagation of sound in device for graduation of ultrasound flowmeters. It is possible to sink lower boundary of graduated limit of measurements up to 6.5 cu.m/h and below without installation of additional electroacoustic converters thanks to increased stability of graduation process. EFFECT: expanded measurement range and stability.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to the field of measuring equipment, in particular to the graduation of measuring devices that determine the flow of fluid using ultrasound. It can also be used to calibrate flow meters that measure the flow of gaseous products. The goal is to create a portable, mobile, transportable device that does not depend on the presence of external vibrations and changes in ambient temperature, serviced and moved by one specialist and providing the possibility of graduation of flowmeters in the field. This goal is achieved in that the electro-acoustic transducers of the graduated flowmeter are fixed on a node made of solid sound-conducting material that provides stable acoustic contact between these transducers. Such a device, for example, can be made of plexiglass made in the form of a prism. The proposed design of the node provides high stability of the propagation time of the signal in the device for calibration of ultrasonic flow meters. By increasing the stability of the calibration process, it is possible to reduce the lower boundary of the graduated measurement limit to 6.5 m 3 / h and lower without installing additional electro-acoustic transducers.
