Abstract

FIELD: textile industry, in particular, processing of wool and fibrous materials, such as card slivers or fabrics. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing wool to electric glow discharge; applying layer of polymeric material, such as polyamidechlorohydrin resin to treated surface. Exposing of wool to electric glow discharge is conducted in medium such as mixture of overheated water vapors with at least one nonpolymerized gas, with partial pressure of water vapors being within the range of 50-150 Pa and total mixture pressure of 50-250 Pa. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of material.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to the textile industry, namely to technological processes for finishing woolen fibrous materials in the form of a carding tape or fabric. A method for anti-immolating treatment of wool involves exposing it to a glow electric discharge, followed by applying a polymer layer, for example, polyamide chlorohydrin resin, to the exposed surface. It is new that exposure to a glow discharge is carried out in a medium representing a mixture of superheated water vapor with one or more other non-polymerizable gases, at a partial pressure of water vapor in the range of 50-150 Pa and a total pressure of the mixture 50-250 Pa.
