SUBSTANCE: end face seal has interacting fixed and rotating sealing rings and round-section flexible pressure rings placed between sealing rings and stationary base members. Novelty is that rotating sealing ring is made flexible, being reinforced by rigid frame fitted inside sealing ring. Shape of frame is made to shape of outer surface of sealing ring, and circular portion of frame perpendicular to axis of seal is located at level of sealing ring contact. Maximum service life and sealing are provided at ratio of distance "a", from working edge of ring to circular portion of frame, to height "b" of working edge equal to 2-2.5, and ratio of height "b" of working edge to its thickness "c" equal to 0.75-1.25. Согласно изобретению вращающееся уплотнительное кольцо выполнено эластичным, армированным жестким каркасом, расположенным внутри уплотнительного кольца. Конфигурация каркаса копирует наружную поверхность уплотнительного кольца, а кольцевая часть каркаса, перпендикулярная оси уплотнения, расположена на уровне контакта уплотнительных колец.
