Abstract

FIELD: method of particles separation by density and apparatus for its realization are used for concentration and separation from current conducting suspension of different sorts of particles; method is used in different fields of industry, medicine and scientific studies. SUBSTANCE: known methods and means of the kind use superimposition of orthogonal to each other magnetic field and electric current on current conducting suspension. For the purpose vessel with orthogonal electrodes is placed in magnetic field. The approach does not allow to carry out simultaneous selection of several sorts of particles of different densities and has blurred zones of selection along whole length of electrodes. To solve the technical task new method provides, that electrical current in suspension is formed with variable density along height in direction, that is perpendicular to direction of terrestrial gravity force. Apparatus for new method realization has electrodes directed at angle to plane of symmetry, that is perpendicular to earth surface. EFFECT: method and apparatus allow to realize selection of several sorts of particles simultaneously with high degree of separation accuracy. 5 cl, 3 dwg

The method of separating particles by density and a device for its implementation are intended for concentration and isolation of various types of particles from an electrically conductive suspension and can be used in many fields of industry, medicine, and in scientific research. Known means for this are superimposing on an electrically conductive suspension orthogonal to each other a magnetic field and an electric current. For this, a vessel with parallel electrodes is placed in a magnetic field. Such solutions do not allow the simultaneous selection of several varieties of particles of different densities, have blurry selection zones for the entire length of the electrodes. To solve these technical problems, a method is proposed in accordance with which an electric current is generated in suspension with a varying density in height, in a direction perpendicular to the direction of gravity. The device for this has electrodes directed at an angle to a plane of symmetry perpendicular to the earth's surface. The method and device allows the selection of several varieties of particles simultaneously with great severity of separation.
