The invention relates to low-temperature technology and allows to increase energy efficiency, reduce the voltage used and to expand the scope. The refrigerator contains blocks with elements from the energy-transforming working fluid, a source for creating an electric field, a heat sink, heat transmitters, a supercharger. On the inner surface of the housing, washed by the liquid coolant, a metal coating is applied in the form of strips periodically arranged along the length of the block. During the half-cycle, the coolant is pumped through the gaps between the elements of the block from which the field has been removed, and as a result of the EC effect, their temperature decreases. Then, the flow cooled in the block is directed to the heat receiver, in which it takes heat from the cooled object, and then to the block, on the elements of which a field is applied, where it is heated. Heat is removed from the cycle to the environment through a heat sink. In the next half cycle, the field is removed from the elements of the block and superimposed on the elements of the block, the coolant is pumped in the opposite direction, heat is removed in the heat sink.
