Abstract

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining individual sensitivity of mammary gland carcinoma to radiation, chemical and hormone therapy by means of echographic examination method and elaborating adequate final plan of treatment. Echographic picture of mammary gland tumor is compared before and after each treatment stage. The tumor is considered to be sensitive to the performed treatment, if reduction in size, changed contour or increased echogenicity of tumor is observed in control ultrasonic examination. The above mentioned criteria being absent, the tumor is considered to be resistant to the corresponding treatment method. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; removed radiation loading; real time mode examination.

The invention relates to medicine, in particular to oncology, and can be used in cancer clinics in the treatment of patients with breast cancer by a combined method. The aim of the invention is to increase the effectiveness of the treatment of breast cancer with a combined method. The goal is achieved by determining the individual sensitivity of breast cancer to radiation and chemo-hormone therapy using the ultrasound diagnostic method and taking into account the information received, an adequate final treatment plan is developed. In this case, the echocardin of a breast tumor is compared before and after each stage of the therapeutic effect. A tumor is considered sensitive to the therapy if, during a control ultrasound examination, a decrease in size, a change in contours or an increase in the echogenicity of the tumor is determined. In the absence of the above criteria, the tumor is considered resistant to the appropriate method of treatment. The echographic method for determining the individual sensitivity of breast cancer to various stages of preoperative antitumor therapy can be widely used in clinics, as it is highly effective, differs in the absence of radiation loads on the patient’s body and, therefore, the possibility of multiple studies, real-time research, the possibility perform tomography of the mammary glands.
