Abstract

FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device integrates in one case mechanical, electron-mechanical or electron time reading aids and aid of parallel time reading incorporating integrated circuit and light-emitting diode indicator in the form of ring-shaped or trapezoidal matrix composed of 60 light-emitting diodes with 6x10 organization. When displaying present time on light-emitting diode indicator three light-emitting diodes emit simultaneously: present hour, present minute under pulsation mode and present second which is related to consumption of considerable energy. That is why there is used mode of disconnection of light-emitting diode indicator without stoppage of time reading by integrated circuit to save energy. In combination with analog indicator of pointer type light-emitting diode indicator performs functions of second reading scale. In combination with liquid crystal indicator light-emitting diode indicator does not perform any functions under mode of its disconnection which does not contradict the design. EFFECT: expanded application field of proposed time reading device of individual and collective usage under conditions of dim-out and impossibility of every day check of it by time standard.

Claims (1)

The device combines in one case mechanical, electronic-mechanical or electronic devices for counting time and a device for parallel timing, which includes an integrated circuit and an LED indicator in the form of a ring-shaped or trapezoidal matrix, consisting of 60 light-emitting diodes, with 6x10 organization. When displaying the current time, three LEDs are simultaneously emitted by the LED indicator: the current hour, the current minute in pulsation mode, the current second, and this is due to the consumption of significant energy. Therefore, the off mode of the LED indicator without stopping the countdown by the integrated circuit is energy-saving. In combination with an analog indicator of the arrow type, in the deviation mode, the LED indicator has the functions of a second counting scale. In combination with a liquid crystal indicator, the LED indicator does not carry a functional load when it is turned off, but it does not contradict the design. The proposed solution will expand the range of application of time meters for individual and collective use in the conditions of darkness and the impossibility of daily verification according to the standard of time.
