Abstract

FIELD: nuclear technology. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to burial of radioactive substances and is designed for use while forming barriers isolating radionuclides and for systems of emergency localization of radionuclides. When preparing sorbent in composition of mixture there are used nepheline or vermiculite or muscovite or nonmagnetic fraction of peroskite area or titanium magnetic or baddeleyite or bauxite or carbonates or materials of organic origin which are subjected to gamma radiation with dose of 100-1000 milliroentgen. In this case efficiency of sorbent increases sufficiently. Artificial and natural mixtures of natural materials of wide nomenclature are used. EFFECT: decreased cost of sorbent as there is no necessity for its thermal treatment, mixtures of natural materials of organic origin may contain sawdust, peat or coal.

Claims (1)

The essence of the invention lies in the fact that upon receipt of the sorbent, nepheline or vermiculite, or muscovite, or a non-magnetic fraction of perovskite ores, or titanomagnetite, or baddeleyite, or bauxite, or carbonates, or materials of organic origin are used in the mixture and subjected to gamma irradiation with a dose 100-1000 MR. At the same time, the efficiency of the sorbent is significantly increased. Apply artificial or natural mixtures of natural materials of a wide range. This, as well as the absence of the need for heat treatment, reduces the cost of the sorbent. Mixtures as natural materials of organic origin may contain sawdust, peat or coal.
