Abstract

FIELD: designs of mass-transfer column for reaction of the systems gas (vapor)-liquid intended for processes of absorption, rectification, gas washing in chemical, petrochemical, gas and other related industries. SUBSTANCE: mass-transfer tray has horizontal plate of round cross-section with central hole in which vertical vapor branch pipe is installed axisymmetrically. Installed axisymmetrically on the vertical vapor branch pipe at some distance from the upper edges of vapor branch pipe is cap whose diameter exceeds that of the vapor branch pipe. Lower edges of cap are apart from the tray plate to pass vapor. Cap lower part has perforations over the periphery to pass vapor. Mass-transfer trays are tightly placed one onto another in the vertical cylindrical column. Installed over the large part of tray plate, between the column wall and cap is discharge pipe for liquid discharge from the upper tray. Tray plate circular part has hole in which transfer pipe is tightly installed for transfer of liquid to the underlying tray. The upper edge of the transfer pipe is located above the level of perforation in the side walls of the vapor cap. Additional horizontal plate is tightly installed between the column walls and walls of the vapor cap at the level of its lower edge. Additional horizontal plate has hole for transfer pipe and perforations in form of arched slots with convexity upward which are located over concentric circumferences around the column center. Outlet holes of arched slots are directed to the same side opposite to location of discharge pipe on the tray. Perforations in the side walls of vapor cap are made in form of arched slots with convexity directed outward having outlet holes directed at acute angle to the vertical downward to the same side opposite to the location of discharge pipe on the tray. Discharge and transfer pipes are installed adjacent to each other. Installed between these pipes and column walls tightly to the vapor cap walls is vertical partition which extends in its width to the opposite side wall of vapor cap. In its height the partition is equal to the interval between trays in the column in vertical direction. The distance between the lower edge of discharge pipe and the tray additional plate equals one fourth of the internal diameter of discharge pipe. Novelty consists in availability of diametrical partition above the cap and perforations in form of arched slots with their convexity upward on the tray plate with axes directed tangentially from the discharge pipe to transfer pipe and arched slots in cap lower edges with their convexity outward and at acute angle to the vertical towards the side of the transfer pipe. EFFECT: higher efficiency in mass transfer between gas (vapor) and liquid due to increased time of contact of liquid with gas (vapor).

The invention relates to the construction of mass transfer columns for the interaction of gas (steam) - liquid systems, designed for the processes of absorption, rectification, gas flushing and can find application in chemical, petrochemical, gas and other related industries.
