The method of disintegration of ships and vessels with nuclear power plants (NPP) on board, in the implementation of which produce at the same time the decontamination of units and assemblies of nuclear power plants exposed to radioactive contamination. The method involves cutting the hull into at least three parts - fore, middle and stern with the selection of the middle part, which includes a nuclear power unit (NPI), which is subjected to cutting into parts in a specially equipped chamber using linear explosive charges with low toxic explosive charges based on liquid and powdered high-energy substances. These parts are subjected to decontamination by special remelting with the addition of an appropriate flux. When smelting radioactive metal on the proposed technology, highly radioactive slag, radioactive gases and deactivated process metal are obtained. At the same time, gases are diverted to Petryanov filters for purification and disposal; The deactivated metal, which is valuable for nuclear technology, is sent to the main production, for example, for the manufacture of nuclear power plant buildings; The slag is vitrified and sent for storage to the regional repository of radioactive waste as a reliable material for storage. This technology of disintegration and decontamination of ships and vessels with nuclear power plants allows them to industrial processing with the maximum benefit for the economy of the country and the entire technological complex, since the obtained high experimental results in testing the method allow us to recommend it for use.
