Abstract
FIELD: inspection of ropes. SUBSTANCE: tension measuring sensor is mounted on a rope under inspection and connected with tension control unit. Actual rope tension value is measured by positive displacement of standard bush-template and rope relative to each other and compared with value obtained earlier on check section of same rope. Inspection can be effected automatically and in unattended manner. Method is suitable for various types of ropes in any position and is applicable in different industries. EFFECT: simplicity and versatility.
