Abstract

FIELD: tooth fixing. SUBSTANCE: tooth fixing assemblies, having a tooth secured in a holder by means of a fixing device, are usually used for quick replacement of the tooth, which is a quick-wearing component. The fixing device is featured by simplicity and easiness of installation thereby providing for a considerable fixing force acting on the dowel for counteraction to any attempt of the dowel to come out of the assembly in service. In the offered construction provision is made for a lock in the form of a flat plate spring, positioned in the hole for the lock passing across the dowel. After installation of the dowel the plate spring is subjected to action of force making it sag. The magnitude of the force required for sagging of the plate spring is the same as that of the force restraining the dowel in the preset position after the assembly is assembled. The dowel has a central groove, whose dimension is sufficient to receive the part of the plate spring engageable with it, when the dowel is in its preset position after the assembly is assembled. When the plate spring enters the central groove, sagging of the plate spring decreases, which results in an increase of the plate spring service life. When the hole for the lock is made across the hole for the dowel, the strength of the front part remains uncharged. EFFECT: improved design.
