Abstract
FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding. SUBSTANCE: charge of explosive is placed on surface of part to be welded. At blasting of explosive oblique collision of welded part and surface of fixed part is provided, and setting clearance between parts is found from equation, where h is thickness of welded part; D is shock wave velocity in part; u is velocity of welded part metal behind leading edge of shock wave. Amount of explosive is taken to provided constant values of D and u on thickness h. EFFECT: reduced amount of explosive, decreased deformation of welded metals, improved quality of connection, provision of possibility of welding separate parts to article, connecting parts liable to fragile breakage, enlarged range of dimensions of connected parts, possibility of carrying out operations n explosion platforms and in chambers with limitation on weight of explosive.
